How It Works
From dispute to resolution.
Five clear steps.
No lawyers to hire. No court dates to schedule. No months of waiting. Resolve guides you through a structured, AI-powered process that gets results in days.
Most disputes resolve in 3–14 days
Compare that to 12–18 months for traditional litigation. Our structured process keeps things moving forward with built-in deadlines, smart reminders, and AI-driven proposals that break through stalemates.

Step 1 of 5
Create Your Dispute
Starting your dispute takes less than five minutes. You'll begin by selecting the type of dispute you're facing — whether it's a landlord-tenant conflict, a contractor who didn't finish the job, or a business partnership disagreement. Our intelligent intake system adapts to your dispute type, asking only the questions that matter for your specific situation.
You'll provide the basic facts: who's involved, what happened, and what outcome you're hoping for. You don't need to write a legal brief or know any legal terminology. Just tell us what happened in your own words, and our system handles the rest.
Behind the scenes, our AI begins categorizing your dispute, identifying relevant legal frameworks, and preparing the foundation for a structured resolution process. This isn't a generic form — it's an intelligent system that understands the nuances of your situation from the very first interaction.
Once your dispute is created, you'll receive a unique case identifier and a secure dashboard where you can track every step of the process. Everything is encrypted end-to-end, and only the parties involved can access the details.

Step 2 of 5
Tell Your Story
This is where Resolve truly differs from every other platform. Instead of filling out rigid legal forms, you have a guided conversation with our AI assistant. Think of it as talking to the smartest, most patient friend you have — one who happens to understand contract law, tenant rights, and insurance regulations.
Our Grounding Agent helps you move past the raw emotion that comes with any dispute. It acknowledges your frustration, validates your experience, and then gently guides you toward articulating your position clearly. Research shows that people who feel heard are 3x more likely to reach a fair settlement.
As you tell your story, the system identifies key facts, potential legal issues, and areas where documentation would strengthen your position. It might ask: 'You mentioned the contractor left in mid-October — do you have any photos of the unfinished work from that time?' These aren't random questions. They're strategic prompts designed to build the strongest possible case for resolution.
You can upload documents, photos, receipts, contracts, text messages, emails — any evidence that supports your position. Our AI organizes everything into a coherent narrative that will be presented to the other party in a professional, non-inflammatory way.

Step 3 of 5
Invite the Other Party
Once your position is documented, it's time to bring the other party into the process. You provide their email address, and Resolve sends a professional, neutral invitation — not a threatening demand letter. The invitation explains what Resolve is, that a dispute has been filed, and invites them to share their side of the story.
The language of the invitation is carefully crafted by our Communication Agent to be firm but non-adversarial. We've found that the tone of this first contact determines whether the other party engages or walls up. Our invitation has a 73% response rate — compared to roughly 20% for traditional demand letters.
When the other party joins, they go through the same guided storytelling process you did. They get their own Grounding Agent, their own evidence upload portal, and the same respect for their perspective. This symmetry is critical — both parties need to feel the process is fair, or resolution becomes impossible.
If the other party doesn't respond within 7 days, you'll receive guidance on next steps, including the option to escalate to a LexGo AI attorney who can send a more formal communication or pursue other remedies on your behalf.

Step 4 of 5
Enter the Settlement Zone
This is where the magic happens. The Settlement Zone is a structured negotiation environment powered by AI that has analyzed both parties' positions, identified common ground, and mapped the areas of disagreement. It's not a chatroom — it's an intelligent mediation space.
Our Resolution Agent presents each party with a clear summary of the other side's position (sanitized of inflammatory language) and highlights where the parties already agree. You might be surprised — in most disputes, parties agree on 60-80% of the facts. The remaining gaps are where focused negotiation happens.
The AI suggests settlement options based on similar cases, applicable law, and the specific facts of your dispute. These aren't arbitrary numbers. They're data-driven proposals informed by analysis of thousands of resolved disputes. Each suggestion comes with a plain-English explanation of why it's fair to both sides.
Parties can make offers, counteroffers, and communicate through the platform. All communication passes through our De-escalation Filter, which removes personal attacks and inflammatory language while preserving the substance of each message. The goal isn't to suppress emotion — it's to keep the conversation productive.
Behind the scenes
Step 5 of 5
Resolve or Escalate
When both parties agree on terms, Resolve generates a Settlement Agreement — a plain-English document that clearly outlines what each party has agreed to do, by when, and what happens if someone doesn't follow through. This isn't a vague handshake. It's a structured agreement with real accountability.
The Settlement Agreement is designed to be enforceable. While it's not a court order, it constitutes a binding contract between the parties. Both parties digitally sign the agreement, and each receives a certified copy for their records. If either party later breaches the agreement, it can be used as evidence in any subsequent legal proceeding.
For disputes that don't fully resolve through the Settlement Zone, you have clear options. You can continue negotiating with adjusted parameters, bring in a human mediator through our partner network, or escalate to a LexGo AI attorney who can pursue the matter through traditional legal channels at a fraction of the normal cost.
Regardless of outcome, you'll receive a comprehensive Case Summary documenting the entire process, all evidence submitted, communication logs, and any agreements reached. This record is invaluable if you later need to pursue the matter further — and it demonstrates that you made a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute outside of court.
Behind the scenes
What if it doesn't resolve?
Not every dispute can be settled through negotiation — and that's okay. Resolve is designed to handle the 80% of disputes that can be resolved without a courtroom. But for the rest, we've built a seamless escalation path.
If you reach an impasse in the Settlement Zone, you can escalate to a LexGo AI attorney. This isn't starting over. Your attorney receives the complete case file — every fact, every document, every communication — organized and summarized. They pick up exactly where Resolve left off.
Because the groundwork is already done, attorney costs are a fraction of what they'd normally be. No $5,000 retainer just to get someone up to speed. Your LexGo attorney already knows the case inside and out.
